The Black Youth Empowerment Network (BYEN) is dedicated to empowering young black individuals by providing diverse opportunities for growth and fostering a supportive community where members can both receive and offer assistance, ensuring access to resources for all to achieve their aspirations.

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
Myles Chapman
Myles Chapman, a writer and advocate for mental health and the Black LGBTQ+ community, has secured admission to all 'Black Ivy League' institutions, including, Howard, Tuskegee, Morehouse, Hampton, Fisk, and Dillard.
Kiersten Johnson
Kiersten Johnson, balancing her roles as a high school student and a teacher assistant at a local elementary school in South Georgia, achieved the significant milestone of earning an associate degree from Albany State University and is now set to continue her academic journey at Florida A&M University.
Vinson Russel
Vinson Russel, serving as both student body president and national chairman of the High School Democrats of America, he has been designated as an intern for Representative Schofield in the Georgia State House.
Jayden Perez 'Mayol
Jayden Perez 'Mayol, a key member of BYEN's leadership team, has earned a place in GMEA's all-state 11-12th choir with an outstanding score of 95. Let's wish him the best of luck as he competes.
